What is phyloTouch?
phyloTouch leverages the jsPhyloSVG library to give an example of how simple trees might be populated with relevant data using available web service APIs. phyloTouch continues to evolve. It currently:
- Loads trees dynamically
- Zoom and Pan using gestures
- Touch-based Interactive Nodes
- Assembles metadata from Genbank
- Integrates Google maps
Your phylogenetic tree sources are meshed with online services and databases to provide a rich, interactive experience with no overhead.
No server required, the markup becomes the image.
In fact, your markup (in Newick or phyloXML format) is analyzed and used to mine related data available through online services.
